Impoverished people handed over safe houses at Belauri

Kanchanpur, March 1: The impoverished families from Belauri municipality in the district have been provided safe houses. Ten houses from Ratanpur and five from Bhudha in the local level were handed over the safe houses.    
    
The safe houses were constructed with joint investment of the municipality and a non-government organization (NGO).    
    
For each house, municipality provided Rs 300 thousand and the NGO, NEEDS, Rs 200 thousand. The houses having two rooms each were handed over by Mayor of Belauri municipality, Potilal Chaudhari. (RSS)       

    
Chaudhari informed that the poor indigenous and Dalit people who were affected by the disasters were provided such support. According to him, the local level was planning similar housing for the flood affected people from ward no 5, 6, 7 and 8.    
    
The safe houses are huge relief to those living in risky situation following the disasters like flooding.
