Winter rainfall makes farmers happy

blog

By Hari Krishna Aidi, Mugu, Feb.28: Farmers of Mugu are elated to experience rainfall after a prolonged time in Mugu. Mugu has witnessed rainfall since Thursday.

The weather has turned dark and gloomy with the onset of rainfall since 4 AM this morning.

However, electricity has been disrupted in the area as a consequence of getting rainfall.

Birsh Bahadur Rawal, a farmer of Chhayanath Rara Municipality-7 of Mugu district, said that it will be easier to plow the barren land and plow the fields after rainfall to sow seasonal crops such as millet and corn.

Ramlal Bitalu, a local, said that the farmers are elated because the rain water irrigation will yield better fruit and vegetable crops.

He said that the forest fire in many places will be under control after the rain.

Due to the lack of rain since October, winter farming has been badly affected while rainy farming has been remotely affected as well.
