Britain, Feb 27: Chief of British Army, Roly Walker, has hailed Nepali Army.
During a programme the Nepali Embassy in London organized on the occasion of the 262nd Nepali Army Day on Wednesday, the Chief Guest at the programme expressed happiness over the sustainable ties between the Nepali and the British Armies. He appreciated the commitment, honesty and professionalism shown by the Nepali Army
"I'm happy to attend the 262nd Establishment Day of Nepali Army. NA's participation in the UN peace keeping mission is indeed a matter of pride," he said, expressing commitment that the British Army would extend additional support to the Nepali Army in future.
The British General also showed accolade to the contribution made by Brigade of Gurkhas in Britain.
On the occasion, Nepali Ambassador to Britain, Dr Chandra Kumar Ghimire, reminded that Nepali Army has a long glorious history and inheritance. It has significant role in protection of sovereignty, territorial integrity and national interest, he added.
The Ambassador extended gratitude to the British government for extending continuous support of Nepali Army
Military attaché colonel Anup Shah also said Nepali Army is true to professional integrity.
An audio visual was presented on NA's activities and missions on peace establishment, wildlife preservation, and rescue and rehabilitation after natural disasters.(RSS)
