Chairman Prachanda promises support to promote historic, ancient sites

Morang, Feb 27: CPN (Maoist Centre) Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has pledged to preserve and promote areas with historical and mythical significance in the country.    

He said this during his address to a programme organised under the 'Maoists with People, Tarai Madhesh Awakening Campaign' at Barju rural municipality-6 in Sunsari today. The former Prime Minister said he visited various such sites during the campaign. He vowed measures on behalf of the party to promote such areas for the purpose of tourism.  


At the programme organised by the Barjutal Wetland Development and Conservation Committee, the leader recalled the allocation of budget for the cause of the area during his term as the first Prime Minister of republic Nepal.  He also promised further support and cooperation to enhance physical infrastructure development here.  (RSS)
