Daldale bus accident: 11 injured

By Bomlal Giri, Nawalpur, Feb.21: 11 people have sustained injury in a bus accident at Daldale, Devchuli Municipality-11 in Nawalpur District. The bus en route from Butwal to Kathmandu met with an accident on Friday morning.

According to District Nepal Police Office, Nawalpur, 11 out of 21 people on board the bus were injured in the accident. Of these, six are being treated at Dev Hospital Private Limited, Bharatpur, and five at Devchuli Hospital Private Limited, Daldale.

The condition of six people who were sent to Bharatpur for treatment is moderate and the remaining five are normal. 

Locals said that a ditch was formed on the right and left side of the road doing road expansion in the Daldale area and the bus overturned in that ditch.

According to the Police, 40-year-old Sujan Karki of Gokulganga Rural Municipality-5 of Ramechhap district, 35-year-old Romraj Lamichhane of Putalisadak Ramshahpath, Kathmandu, 32-year-old Bijaya Lamichhane, 35-year-old Nidan Lamichhane, 28-year-old Pragya Lamichhane, and 33-year-old Swastika Dahal of Ramechhap were injured in the accident.

Similarly, 34-year-old Bhoj Bahadur Zardha, of Palpa district, 32-year-old Bishal Bhushal, of Arghakhanchi, 32-year-old Avi Thapa, of Tilottama Municipality-4, Rupandehi and 50-year-old Kausila Thapa, a resident of Baglung district, were injured, police said.

It is said that the bus driver has been detained by the police and is being investigated.
