Nepal Buildcon Int'l Expo kicks off

Kathmandu, Feb 20: The 10th Nepal Buildcon International Exhibition has kicked off at Bhrikutimandap from today.     

Inaugurating the expo, Minister for Physical Infrastructures and Transport, Devendra Dahal, stressed the need of determining the priorities of development construction works in the country.     

"Making the country prosperous and constructing the necessary roads in order to take local products in urban areas are in country's priority", he said, sharing that the government has been carrying out activities to end the situation of depending on a single country for import of goods.     

 There are 150 stalls of more than 300 companies of various countries in the expo. Managing Director of Media Space Solutions Pvt. Ltd, one of the organizers, Srijal Bhattarai, said. The expo has stalls providing information about construction related industries, companies, dealers, sub-dealers, and productions.     

The expo was organized with an objective of providing information about new technologies of construction sector, he added.     

Construction materials, construction machinery, prefab structures, UPVC windows machinery, UPVC profile, doors and windows, architecture hardware, bathroom fittings, pipe, tiles and sanitary wares would be put on display in the expo.     

Media Space Solutions Pvt Ltd and Futurex Trade and Events Pvt Ltd have jointly organized the four-day expo. Production related to construction business, and new technology would be main attraction of the expo, Bhattarai added.     

Entry is free to the expo which will remain open from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. The organizers have expected around 40,000-45,000 visitors in expo.(RSS)
