Kathmandu, Feb.19: Chairperson of National Assembly Narayan Prasad Dahal has stressed that everyone's attention should be paid to the protection and promotion of the democracy gained through the great sacrifice and struggle of the Nepali people.
Extending best wishes today on the occasion of National Democracy Day 2081 B.S. (2025), President Poudel said that compliance, protection and implementation of the Constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal needs to be the main priority now.
Mentioning that today is a historic day for pioneering political change and unity for people's rights, President Dahal said that the political sift of 2007 B.S in the political history of Nepal was the first organized, strong and armed movement to achieve democracy.
"The significance of celebrating Democracy Day is to pledge to protect, strengthen and strengthen democratic values and to make the democratic system effective and responsive to the people," Chairman Dahal said in the message.
He wished to be inspired to move forward unitedly for the protection of democracy, freedom of expression and the prosperity and development of the country.
