Government invites agitating side for dialogue

Kathmandu, Feb 11: The Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation has called on the ‘Swargadwari Guthi Victims and Tenant Farmers’ Struggle Committee’ for a dialogue to resolve the pertaining issue.     

Joint Secretary and Spokesperson of the Ministry, Ganesh Prasad Bhatta, issued a press release inviting the Swargadwari Guthi Victims and Tenant Farmers protesting at Maitighar in Kathmandu for talks.     

The Ministry has already taken necessary action to implement the agreement reached in the past and thereby invites the agitating side to come for talks so as to address the issues through dialogue.     

The Ministry has also formed a three-member talks committee under the coordination of Joint Secretary Madan Koirala. Under Secretary Mahendra Prasad Sankhi and Legal Officer of the Guthi Sansthan, Janak Pokharel are members of the committee.
