Kailali, Feb 9: Foreign Affairs Minister Dr Arzu Rana Deuba has urged everyone not to fall into drug addiction.

While inaugurating a rally against drug addiction organized by the Nepal Students Union, Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan Committee on Sunday, she called on everyone to refrain from drug abuse. "Do not use drugs even once," Minister Deuba cautioned.

Even a single dose affects the brain. Don't get caught up in the excitement of friends," said Minister Deuba. "Let's think positively. Remember your families and refrain from using drugs. It doesn’t benefit anyone."

Urging those trapped in substance abuse to seek help, she stated, "Don’t think that once you’re caught in drugs, you can't get out. You can escape; anything is possible if one desires it. Stop from today."

Minister Deuba stated that drug addiction is a significant problem not only in Nepal but also in India and other countries as well.  The Foreign Minister argued, "The issue of drug addiction has existed for a long time. It is concerning and saddening to see it take on a vast form. This problem exists in many households here as well. I urge everyone not to fall into drug addiction." (RSS)
