Nepal fails to secure consolation win, Thailand clinches Women's Tri-Series

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Feb 7: With the win over Nepal by 7 wickets Thailand clinched the series of Women's T20I Tri-Series being top in the point table. 

Thailand gained 10 points whereas Netherlands Women became runner-up securing 8 points.  

Nepal failed to score points with losses in all six matches. With a loss to Thailand even in the last match on Friday Nepal failed to secure a consolation win. 

Batting first, Nepal posted a target of 82 runs in 20 overs losing 7 wickets in response Thailand received a target in 17 overs in 3 wickets. 

To register easy win over Nepal, Thailand's Naruemol Chaiwai scored 27 runs, Nannapat Koncharoenkai 23, Nattaya Boochatham 11, Phannita Maya 9 and Aphisara Suwanchonrathi scored 5 runs. 

Nepal's Indu Barma took two wickets whereas Puja Mahato picked a single wicket.
