Netherlands beats Thailand in thriller Tri-Series match

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Feb 6: Netherlands defeated Thailand by 1 wicket in the Women's T20I Tri-Series at Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground, Kirtipur on Thursday.

Batting first, Thailand scored 109 runs in the stipulated 20 overs in 5 wickets. 

Following the target Netherlands achieved the target in the last ball of the stipulated 20 overs match in a loss of 9 wickets. 

Netherlands Phebe Molkenboer scored 32 runs, Robine Rijke 20, Sterre Kalis 14, Silver Siegers and Frederique Overdijk scored 7 runs each, Caroline de Lange 6, Heather Siegers and Isabel van der Woning scored 5 runs each, Babette de Leede 4, and Iris Zwilling and Eva Lynch scored a single run each.

Thailand's Thipatcha Putthawong took 4 wickets alone and Onnicha Kamchomphu picked 3 wickets alone. Phannita Maya took two wickets.

This is the first loss of Thailand in the series.
