By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Feb 4: Nepal lost to Thailand by 5 runs in the Women's T20I Tri-Series at Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground, Kirtipur on Tuesday.
Batting first Thailand scored 106 runs in the stipulated 20 overs in 6 wickets.
Following the target of 107 runs Nepal only managed 101 runs in the 20 overs losing 8 wickets.
Nepal's Rubina Chhetry scored 26 runs, Kabita Joshi 24, Roma Thapa 19, Puja Mahato 18, Samjhana Khadka 5, Indu Barma 3 and Rachana Chaudhary scored 2 runs.
To stop Nepal from achieving its target Thailand's Thipatcha Putthawong took four wickets alone whereas Phannita Maya took two wickets.
