Myagdi, Feb 4: CPN (UML) Chairperson and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has said priority would be given for overall development of Myagdi.
At a programme organized at Beni
municipality-4 Singa and Tatopani this morning, Chair Dahal mentioned that
Myagdi would be prosperous through the development of physical infrastructures
and tourism.
"I had visited Tatopani kunda
(pond) here with family six years ago. We have given continuity to activities
by managing budget in some projects—Beni-Darbang-Dhorpatan road, protection and
promotion of Tatopani kunda and control of river encroachment as demanded by
locals during my visit", he shared.
Chair Dahal expressed commitment to
take initiative to install bailey bridge over Myagdi river as an alternative to
Phaperkhet's landslide, which has become major problem of Beni-Darbang
road.
On the occasion, Gandaki Province
Assembly members-- Resham Bahadur Jugjali and Hari Bahadur Bhandari,
Chairperson of Beni municipality-4, Ana Bahadur Khadka (Bhagawan), and
Chairperson of Singa Tatopani Kunda Management Committee, Krishna Khadka,
briefed Chair Dahal about various issues including development construction
activities of Singa and Tatopani.
Meanwhile, Chair Dahal met with
family members of martyrs at Beni municipality-4 Thulokhola, Singa and Beni and
said the contribution of martyrs would always be highly valued.
Similarly, farmers of Singa asked
Chair Dahal to make arrangement of production-based subsidy, easy access of
market of their production.
In response, he said Rs 7 billion
was allocated for agriculture grant during his premiership, adding he would
draw government's attention about its implementation status. (RSS)
