By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Feb 3: Thailand defeated the Netherlands by 17 runs in a thriller match of the Women's T20I Tri-Series at Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground, Kirtipur on Monday.
Batting first, Thailand posted a target of 87 runs before being all out in 19.5 overs.
In response, following an easy target Netherlands became all out in 15.5 overs and scored just 69 runs.
To defend a tiny total Thailand's Thipatcha Putthawong and Onnicha Kamchomphu took 3 wickets each whereas Chanida Sutthiruang took two wickets and Nattaya Boochatham took a single wicket.
Netherlands Babette de Leede scored 25 runs, Iris Zwilling 10 and Caroline de Lange scored 10 runs. Other batsmen couldn't score runs in double digits.
