TRN Rupandehi reporter Gyawali honoured

BY OUR CORRESPONDENT,Siddharthanagar, Jan. 22: Kapil Gyawali, our Rupandehi-based reporter, has been honoured with the Outstanding Journalism Award. The award, given in memory of the late Ganeshman Sainju, was presented to Gyawali at the 51st installation ceremony of Butwal Jaycees. 

Gyawali has been recognised for his significant contribution to social transformation through journalism, particularly focusing on youth and Jaycees campaigns. The award was jointly presented by former Minister and Member of Parliament, Surendra Raj Acharya, Butwal Jaycees President Binod Ghimire and Selection Committee Chairman Narayan Ghimire. 

Gyawali is also serving as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Buddha Community Television and as the editor of Nagarik Online.

Additionally, Mohan Thakur, owner of Samriddhi Salon and Academy in Butwal, was honoured with the Outstanding Youth Award. 

Former Minister Acharya emphasised that Jaycees should maintain the trust of the youth. He pointed out the important role of youth in transforming society. 

The Mayor of Butwal Sub-metropolitan City, Khelraj Pandey, suggested organising programmes that ensure a bright future for the youth of the country. He said that Butwal Jaycees has the potential to lead Nepal Jaycees and encouraged the leadership to demonstrate their capabilities. 

In memory of social worker Ganeshman Sainju, who passed away, his son Anupman Sainju established the Fixed Deposit Fund for the Outstanding Journalism Award at Butwal Jaycees.
