Kathmandu, Jan 20: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Devraj Ghimire, have consulted about calling the Parliament session. Speaker's press coordinator Shekhar Adhikari informed that in the discussion held today at the Prime Minister's residence, Baluwatar, the Prime Minister and the Speaker talked about summoning of the Parliament session and the Parliament business to that connection.
It is said that the government is preparing to convene the winter session of the Parliament on January 31.
The Council of Ministers is having a meeting this afternoon to discuss the Parliament session. There is a constitutional provision for the President to convene a session of the Federal Parliament on the recommendation of the Government of Nepal, the Council of Ministers. (RSS)
