Kathmandu, Jan 19: Committee on the Monitoring and Evaluation of Implementation of the Directive Principles, Policies and Obligations of the State has drawn the government's attention to a delay in releasing a report for the Fiscal Year 2080-81 BS (2023-24).
A meeting of the Committee today reminded the government of the constitutional provision (Article 43) and the Clause 41 of the Good Governance (Management and Operation), Act 2064 BS for unveiling the report. It has expressed concerned that the report was not unveiled even after the completion of six months of the current fiscal year.
Lawmaker Hitaraj Pandey stressed that the Committee should be first aware of the legal provisions about the report and its publication.
Dilendra Badu stressed that development of the enactment of laws in the nine years of the promulgation of the Constitution should also be the concerns of the Committee while Santosh Pariyar sought the presence of the Prime Minister or a minister in the meeting.
Chief Secretary Eaknarayan Aryal pledged to coordinate for ensuring the presence of Prime Minster or the line minister in the meeting.(RSS)
