APF Women defeat Sudur Paschim by 59 runs in PM Cup Cricket

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Jan 18: Armed Police Force Women defeated Sudur Paschim Province Women by 59 runs in the Prime Minister Cup Women's National Cricket Tournament at Fapla Cricket Ground, Dhangadi on Saturday.

Batting First APF women scored a total of 126 runs in the 18 overs spell losing two wickets. Following bad weather 20 overs match was reduced to 18 overs.

In response, Sudur Paschim Province Women scored just 67 runs in the 18 overs with a loss of 6 wickets. 

To manage a big total APF captain Indu Barma hit a half-century making 58 runs whereas Mamta Chaudhary and Kabita Joshi hit 36 and 13 runs respectively remaining not-out. Rajmati Airee scored two runs. 

Following the target Sudur Paschim's Kabita Kunwar only scored runs in double digits making 29 runs. Similarly, Chetana Kunwar scored 7, Bindu Rawal and Rewati Dhami scored 5 runs each, Rabina Saud 4, Ritu Kanoujiya 3 and Manisha Bohara scored 2 runs.

To restrict Sudur Paschim from achieving the target, APF's Indu Barma and Kabita Joshi took two wickets each. Sabnam Rai took a wicket.
