One held on charge of involvement in assault on senior advocate Tripathi

Kathmandu, Jan 17: A person has been arrested on the charge of assaulting senior advocate Dinesh Kumar Tripathi.     

The arrested is Lalit Kumar KC, 48, of Tamakoshi rural municipality-1 in Dolakha. He was apprehended on Friday.     

Tripathi was attacked by a group of individuals on last Wednesday (January 15), while crossing the road in front of the Kathmandu District Court.     

The police have filed case under an attempted murder against KC, confirmed District Police Range Kathmandu's information officer Nawaraj Adhikari.     

Following the assault that took place when Tripathi left the court representing victims in a cooperative fund's misappropriation case, the police rescued and escorted him for safety.     

According to the police, they are searching for others responsible for the offense.(RSS)
