The road has been blocked at Ghhuchi High Hill under the Gamgarhi-Nagma road owing to the heavy snowfall witnessed on Thursday. This has affected the normal life of locals.
Transport entrepreneur Kamal Rokaya said that dozens of cargo and passenger vehicles have been stranded in Ghuchi High Hill due to snow accumulation in the area.
According to him, snow is more than one- foot deep on the road from the Ghuchi to Badh water stream.
According to Dinesh Budha, a passenger who was stranded due to snowfall, he could not reach Gamgarhi due to thick snow in Bulbule and Ghhuchi peak.
According to the Chief of District Police Office Mugu, Saroj Giri, coordination has been done with Road Division Office Jumla to remove frozen snow with excavators, but the weather has not yet improved making it difficult to start the work.
