Kathmandu, Jan 6: Police have arrested three people on the charge of defrauding money from foreign employment aspirants, saying they will send them for abroad jobs.
Those arrested in this connection are 28-year-old Rakesh Kumar Rawat of Godaita Municipality-10, Sarlahi district, 33-year-old Dudharaj Thing of Roshi Rural Municipality-11, Kavrepalanchok and 34-year-old Prabha Shrestha of Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan Municipality-5, Dang.
Rakesh was arrested from Kathmandu Metropolitan City-9 on Friday, Dudhraj was arrested from Lalitpur Mahalakshmi Municipality-9 and Prabha was arrested from Lalitpur Metropolitan City-10 on Sunday.
Among those arrested, Rakesh took Rs 645,000 from one victim saying he would send to Mauritius, Dudhraj took Rs 750,000 from one victim saying he would send it to Canada, and Prabha took Rs 780,000 from one victim saying he would send it to Singapore.
According to the police, they have been sent to the Foreign Employment Department Tahachal for the necessary investigation and action. (RSS)
