Two killed as motorcycle collided into tractor

By Janarjan Khatri, Sarlahi, Dec. 31: Two people died when a motorcycle collided with a tractor carrying sugarcane on Monday night at Murtiya Shanti Chowk, Barahathawa Municipality -9, Sarlahi under Nayaroad Barahathwa Madhubani Road'.

Two youths died when a motorcycle collided with a tractor carrying sugarcane on Monday night at Murtiya Shanti Chowk, Barhathwa Municipality-9, Sarlahi under Nayaroad-Madhuvani road.

A tractor (Ja 1 Ta 9876) heading towards Sugar Mill carrying sugarcane and a motorcycle (Ja 4 Pa 377) coming from the opposite direction collided which killed the 25-year-old Harindra Mahato of Raju Chowk of Barahathawa Municipality and other riding behind the motorcycle Purushottam Das, aged 22.  

According to the area police office, Barahathawa , Harindra died at Advance Sanjivani Hospital Barahathawa and Purushottam died at Vayodha Hospital, Birgunj ,.

The police have arrested the tractor involved in the accident and its driver, 38-year-old Birendra Mahato, a resident of Balara Municipality-7.

Deputy Superintendent of Police of Area Police Office, Barahathawa,  Gautam Thapa said that an investigation into the matter is underway.
