NAIFF receiving film submissions

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Nov. 18: The Nepal America Film Society has unveiled the dates for the 2025 Nepal America International Film Festival (NAIFF).

Issuing a press release, the film society announced that the festival is scheduled to be held in Maryland from June 19 to June 22, 2025.

The film society is accepting film submissions from around the world, including feature films, documentaries, animations, experimental works and shorts.

The festival will feature a diverse selection of films from Nepal, South Asia, the USA, and beyond. 

Special sections will include screenings from the Global Peace Film Festival in Florida, as well as a spotlight on films from Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia in the DMV Close-up Section, mentioned in the press release. 

NAIFF 2024, held from June 20–23 at the AFI Silver Theatre and Cultural Centre, the Old Greenbelt Theater, and Brentwood Arts Exchange, showcased industry panels, filmmaker conversations, and in-person networking events.

The 2025 edition will continue to feature industry panels, filmmaker discussions, and more, with details to be announced in the coming months.

NAIFF is an annual film festival organised by the Nepal America Film Society, based in Maryland since 2017. 

The festival has become a vital platform for global filmmakers, including those of Nepali origin, as well as filmmakers from the USA and the broader international diaspora.
