By Gajendra Gurung, Khajura, Nov 17: Hari Prasad Upadhaya of Khujara Rural Municipality, Banke, has been doing banana farming for the last eight years.
His banana farming is now limited to only three bigahs of land from 10 bigahs of land in the past.

He said, “The banana is supplied to local market”. Updhaya said, “The price of per dozen of ripen banana is Rs 60 while that for aw banana is Rs 50”.
He said, “I, my wife and son are engaged in the farming. One technician is hired on a monthly payment basis and the locals come to work on wage basis when needed”.
In the end, he added that earning is not as good as it used to be in the past.
