Politics is service: DPM Singh

Patan (Lalitpur), Nov 14: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development, Prakash Man Singh, has said that politics is service.     

In his address to the third district conference of Nepal Democratic Fighters Association Lalitpur, the leader who leads the Nepali Congress (NC) in the coalition government said that the party has a leading role in promulgating the new constitution and a federal democratic republic system.     

"The politics is a principle, an ideology, but now it has used as a tool to address self-interests," he added.     

Former Minister and NC former central member Omkar Prasad Shrestha argued that significant changes were possible due to struggles and contribution of leaders from the older generation.     

NC central member Madan Bahadur Amatya, National Assembly (NA) member Jeetjung Basnet and Godavari municipality mayor Gajendra Maharjan were among those present at the programme.(RSS)
