Heritage Cycle Ride kicks off to promote tourism

Palpa, Nov 8: A Heritage Cycle Ride has been organized in Palpa from today for the development and promotion of the touristic sites in the district. 

The organizer said that the Heritage Cycle Ride is aimed at promoting human health and tourism sites.   

Organized by Palpa Cycling Association, the event has received riders from Palpa, Rupandehi, Nawalparasi, Chitwan, Kathmandu, Siraha, Banke and other districts.

Started at 6:00 am today, the cycle ride will conclude by reaching Tansen from Bhairabsthan, Lisnubhir, Argali, Ridi and Ranimahal. 

Chairman of the Association, Rupesh Maharjan, said that cyclists aged 14 to 65 are taking part in the ride. Two of them are people with physically challenged, a woman and a foreigner, he added. 

He expressed the hope that the Heritage Cycle Ride would help boost tourism and adventure games in Palpa district. (RSS)
