Three arrested with over 5 kgs of gold at TIA

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Nov.6: Three people have been arrested with around 5.7 kilograms of gold at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).

According to the Co-Spokesperson of the Armed Police Force (APF) Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Shailendra Thapa, three people were detained from TIA with 5.7 kgs of gold on Tuesday evening.

He said that a joint team of Nepal Tribhuvan International Airport Customs Security Base seized 5.7 kgs of gold in 12 pairs of speakers kept inside the luggage bag while re-checking the luggage at the customs check area and arrested three accused.

All three have been kept at Tribhuvan Airport Custom Office for further investigation.
