Parbat, Nov. 1: A drinking water supply was made available in the Parbat District Hospital through a lifting technology. With this, an expectation that had not materialized for four decades was resolved in the hospital.

Chairman of the Hospital Development Committee, Shankar Giri, said that the water was brought through a lifting system from a source at Gopangghat in Kushma Municipality-5.

The water brought from the bank of Kaligandaki River is collected in a tank with the capacity to reserve 150,000 litres of water.

The project was completed with funds of Rs 9 million from the Gandaki Province's Health Ministry and the Parbat District Hospital.

The hospital with 50 beds is offering health care services to more than 58,000 people in a year, Medical Superintendent of the Hospital Dr Hemanta Bastola said. (RSS)
