Kathmandu, Oct.25: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has urged everyone to join hands to curb the dengue infection.

In a video message today, PM Oli requested that people from all walks of life help curb the dengue infection, which continues to persist in some districts of the country.

PM has asked for active participation of concerned agencies, civil servants, security agencies, educational institutions, social campaigns at federal, provincial, and local levels as well as people of sections of society to conduct the 'search and destroy' campaign nationwide at 10 AM every Friday.

He stressed that places where water gets stored serve as the breeding ground of mosquitos therefore larvae and pupa need to be destroyed by identifying such places for the control of dengue-carrying mosquitos.

PM Oli has said that dengue has created a serious public health challenge as its outbreak is still prevalent in some districts in Nepal.

"Making a prosperous Nepal is possible only if the citizens are healthy. So, I urge all to extend their support from their respective places to make this campaign a success for dengue control," the PM stated in his message. (Translated from RSS)
