By TRN Online, Mustang, Oct 24: Mustang district, a pocket area of apple production, has produced the fruit worth Rs. 920 million.
The district also known as one beyond
the Himalaya produced 7,330 metric tons of apples this year, which is the
largest amount produced in the district so far, according to Agriculture
Knowledge Center, Mustang.
Rajesh Gurung, chief of the Center,
said, "This year Mustang produced largest amount thus far. We have
estimated that the district sold apples worth Rs. 930 million although all
records and data are awaited. Favourable weather at the time of apple flowering
and fruit forming resulted in the best production."
