Death toll reaches five in Dadeldhura bus accident

Dadeldhura, Oct. 16: One more body has been found trapped under the roof of the ill-fated bus that was met with an accident at Dadeldhura, bringing the death toll to five. 

According to Police Inspector Upendra Bahadur Bam at the District Police Office, Dadeldhura, the body of the 60-year-old woman Gowani Mahara of Purchaudi Municipality, Baitadi, was recovered during the relief and rescue at 11 AM on Wednesday. 

The bus registration number (Na 8 Kha 1078) of Pawanduth Transport that was heading towards Hat, Purchaudi Municipality, Baitadi, from Mahendranagar of Kanchanpur district, veered off some 400 meters down the road resulting in human casualties. 

Police speculated that the driver could have fallen asleep at the wheel leading to the accident. (Translated from RSS)
