Three die in separate accidents in Jhapa

Baniyani, Oct 13: Three people died and two others got injury in separate accidents in Jhapa district on Sunday.     

Two were killed at Kamala rural municipality and one at Mechinagar municipality in the road accidents.     

A cyclist, Bijen Rajbanshi, 50, died after a motorcycle heading to Kakadbhitta hit him at Mechinagar-7, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police, Krishna Kumar Chand. The incident left motorcyclist Abhinash Limbu, 20, and pillion rider Ramesh Shrestha, 21, injured. The injured ones have been undergoing treatment at B&C Hospital, Birtamod.     

Two persons died at another accident when a motorcycle (Ko 27 Pa 3513) they were riding somersaulted after uncontrolled speed. The dead ones were Anil Kumar Limbu, 33, and Somraj Limbu, 22- both from Shivasatakchhi-8.     

They were heading to Damak from Kerkha along the East-West Highway, according to District Police Office, Jhapa. (RSS)
