Former President Bhandari extends Dashain best wishes

Kathmandu, Oct 11: Former President Bidya Devi Bhandari has wished that may the Bada Dashain festival inspire all the Nepali people towards building a just, equitable, civilized and cultured society while strengthening the social-cultural solidarity among them.    

Extending hearty best wishes for happiness, peace and prosperity to all the Nepali sisters and brothers on the occasion of Bada Dashain festival, she said this year the Dashain festival has been a little subdued due to the adverse situation resulting from the monsoon-induced natural disaster that occurred right before the festivities.    

"We should celebrate this Dashain without extravagance and in a frugal manner, but with happiness as per one's capacity and context," the former President said in her message of best wishes.  (RSS)
