Goats and Chyangra being sold at discounted price (Photo Feature)

By TRN Online, Gurung, Kathmandu, Oct.7: The young he-goats, castrated goats, and mountain goats (Chyangra) are being sold at a discounted price in the Kathmandu Valley. 

The Food Management and Trading Company (FMTC), the state-owned entity, has been selling live goats and mountain goats (Chyangra) for the Dashain festival from its Thapathali depot since October 6. 

 The Company has fixed the selling price with a discount of Rs. 10 per kilogram and a live goat will be available at a rate of Rs. 660 per kilogram. Similarly, consumers can buy a live Chyangra at a rate of Rs. 1,230 per kg with a discount of Rs.10 per kg.
