Lumbini to be made self-reliant thru tourism

Lumbini, Sept 27: Lumbini Province government has forwarded a concept of making the province self-reliant through the medium of tourism.

In a message of best wishes today on the occasion of World Tourism Day, Chief Minister of Lumbini Province, Chet Narayan Acharya, said 'Travel Lumbini' concept would be implemented to develop Lumbini as the self-reliant province.  

The concept has incorporated the plan of creating opportunities of income generation focusing the tourism, he mentioned. 

The message reads, "Lumbini Province government has taken tourism sector as one of the basis of uplifting the living standard of the citizens."

Chief Minister Acharya underlined that the government has been carrying out activities to construct Lumbini Tourism Circuit in order to make tourists visit important tourism destinations of 12 districts in the province. 

"Different castes, religions, cultures, natural resources, biodiversity are pillars of tourism promotion of Lumbini Province", he mentioned. (RSS)
