Kathmandu, Aug 23: Chairperson of the CPN (Maoist Centre), Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has expressed the commitment to making arrangements for internships in Nepal for medical students returned from Bangladesh.

During the meeting with students, who returned from Bangladesh due to the difficult situation in the aftermath of the recent political protest there, Chair Prachanda shared that he would discuss with the government an arrangement of an internship that could be made in Nepal for one time due to a special situation.

On the occasion, the students urged Chair Prachanda to take the initiative to make arrangements for an internship for them as they returned home leaving their internship following an inconvenient situation in Bangladesh and there is a legal arrangement for doing an internship in Nepal in special situations.

In this connection, Chair Prachanda telephoned the Registrar of the Nepal Medical Council, Satish Kumar Dev, and inquired about it.

Sharing that the Education Ministry, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Health Minister have already decided to allow the students returned from Bangladesh for internship for one time due to a special situation, Registrar Dev informed that such arrangement could be made if the Cabinet makes the decision to this effect.
