Six-year-old girl dies of snakebite in Morang

By Hari Koirala, Urlabari,Aug.15: A 6-year-old girl died after being bitten by a poisonous snake at a school square located at Kerabari Rural Municipality-9, Morang. The daughter of the local Manoj Pandit, Pratima Pandit, died from the bite of a cobra snake on Wednesday evening. 

Ward chair of Kerabari-9 Gopa Yakkha said that Pratima was bitten by a poisonous snake when she had gone restroom after returning home from school in the evening. 

She was taken to the snake bite treatment center in Itahari soon after her parents came to know about the snakebite. 

She was referred to a hospital in Biratnagar for further treatment.

Medical doctors said that the girl died after reaching the hospital.
