Kathmandu, Aug 10: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said the world at present needs more peace.

Conferring the certificates on the participants of a year-long course at Dharmakirti Monastery, PM Oli viewed the present world is in dire need of peace, compassion, humanity, kindness and altruism. Therefore, the Buddhist education is growing more relevance these days, he buttressed.

PM Oli further said, "Peace is elusive due to egoist and arrogant behaviour. Many innocent people are fearing the armed attacks. Adherence to Buddhist philosophy is essential to end such terror.

Conflict is detrimental to peace, PM Oli underlined.

On the occasion, chief of the monastery, Dhammawati, wished good health to PM Oli.

The event was also attended by PM's spouse Radhika Shakya and Deputy Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolis, Sunita Dangol.(RSS)
