Manager absconds with Rs 11 million depositor fund

By Lila Raj Khadka, Birtamod,  Aug.1: The manager of Prabhu Bank located at Birtamod, Jhapa, has absconded with Rs 11 million deposited by a depositor. It was deposited in the bank account of the customer. 

The victim, owner of the MoMo factory Tika Ram Nepal of Birtamod -5, has made it public by organizing the press conference at Birtamod on Wednesday, that the deposited Rs 11 million in the name of his wife Manju Nepal in the Prabhu bank branch of  Birtamod, Jhapa has been made disappear. 

He said that they had deposited Rs 11 million in the bank account of Prabhu Bank under Manju Nepal's name on different dates. However, when checking the bank balance after six months, it was revealed that there was only Rs 200,000 left in the bank account. 

The marketing manager of the bank Pramod Sitaula, who lives in Chandragarh, deliberately embezzled the amount that was deposited and now has absconded by switching off his two mobile phones. 

A complaint has been filed against the manager at the District Police Office and Area Police Office, Birtamod. 

The manager of the bank Ganesh Bahadur Baral said that despite the personal complaint, the bank will form an investigation committee from the center and start the investigation process.
