Heavy rain likely in some places of five provinces

Kathmandu, Aug. 1: The weather is likely to remain partly to generally cloudy throughout the country today, the Weather Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology stated in a weather bulletin this morning.    

It said that there is a chance of heavy rainfall at one or two places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces and a few places in Madhes, while light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning are forecasted at some places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces.    

Tonight, the weather is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy throughout the country. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at a few places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim and one or two places in Madhes and Lumbini provinces.    

The Division stated that chances of heavy rainfall are likely at one or two places in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces tonight.    

Issuing a weather bulletin last night, the Division said that there is a possibility of rainfall in different parts of the country for the next two days, especially during the night. However, unlike the past three days, the next two days will see an improvement in the weather.    

It will rain during the night till Friday night and the weather will improve henceforth.  (RSS)
