Three trapped in Kamala River flood rescued

By Our Correspondent,Dhalkebar,Aug.1: Three persons who were trapped in the Kamala River of Dhanusha were rescued safely. 

Police said the three persons who were trapped in the flooded Kamala River at Kiratpur in Ward No 13 of Sabaila Municipality were rescued on Wednesday. 

According to Police Inspector Sundar Chaulagain of the Area Police Office, Sabaila, Rajesh Yadav,17, Nathuni Yadav,40, and Shiva Ram Yadav of the same place were rescued from the middle of the river.

He said they were collecting firewood from the flooded river on Wednesday morning, but when the water level increased suddenly, they were trapped in the middle of the river.   

They were rescued by a team of police personnel from the Basecamp of the Armed Police Force, Raghunathpur and the personnel from the Sabaila Police Office with the help of a life jacket, tube and rope, said Chaulagain.

Mayor of Sabaila Municipality Kariram Yadav provided needed support for the rescue work.
