Govt in favour of full press freedom: Minister Gurung

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, July 29: Minister for Communication and Information Technology Prithvi Subba Gurung has said that the government is not in favour of controlling press freedom.

Minister Gurung made the remarks while speaking at the meeting of the Legislation Management Committee on Monday.

Stating that the government is not in favour of being strict with Press freedom, he said that the government just want to monitor the media. 

He also added that the monitoring of the press won't be from the ministry. For that, an autonomous agency will be formed, he said.
