No worries for students in Bangladesh now: Foreign Ministry

Kathmandu, July 24: Ministry of Foreign Affairs has informed that students who are currently in Bangladesh do not need to return back to Nepal. 

Protest has got pacified as Bangladesh’s top court scraped job quotas after deadly unrest. It had been erupted after a third of government jobs had been reserved for the relatives of war veterans. But now the court has ruled 5 per cent quotas for the veteran’s relatives.   

Newly appointed Minister for foreign affairs Dr Arzu Rana Deuba had taken swift initiatives to get back the students to home who were stuck in the protests affected areas.

Spokespersons of Ministry of foreign Affairs Amrit Bahadur Rai has said that student do not need to feel insecure as protest has got pacified. 

Ministry has informed that there is no need to return except to those who has already booked ticket.

Meanwhile student can decide to return if one still feels insecure. Nepal has allowed students of Maldives and Bhutan to return to Nepal concerning their safety.   

Information Officer of Ministry of Foreign Affairs Rishiraj Acharya informed that the Embassy has been cooperating to those who has booked the ticket to returned back. 

The Ministry said that 1400 students have been returned back till Tuesday.
