Foreign Minister urges consular to work for bringing world technology

Kathmandu, July 23: Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Arzu Rana Deuba urged the honorary consulars serving in Nepal to work for importing world's prosperity and technology to Nepal through economic diplomacy.     

In her address to the 17th annual general meeting of the Honorary Consular Corps Nepal – an organization of honorary consular working in Nepal and the 'Charter Day' here today, Minister Dr Rana urged them to import prosperity, technology, knowledge and investment from the countries they are connected with.     

Calling for the consulars to make wider publicity of Nepal's unique culture, tourism and heritage in the global arena, she highlighted the spectacular role of honorary consular to bringing in foreign tourists.     

The Minster urged them to impart the message of Nepal's unswerving commitment to peace, human rights and democracy across the globe.     

The Minister instructed the consular to work for importing more foreign investment in Nepal with the country seeing stable political and business environment.     

The Corps consists of honorary consular of Nepal for 62 countries. (RSS)
