School bus used for smuggling

By Kanhaiya Lal Keshari, Parsa, July 20: It has been revealed that smugglers were found using a school bus to smuggle goods. 

It came to light that a school bus of Delhi Public School, Birgunj, run by the CG Group was being used to smuggle when Armed Police seized a good worth Rs 263,700 that was being illegally brought from the main gate of Birgunj Custom. 

According to the Spokesperson of the Armed Police Force Nepal 13 Hequa Parsa, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Debendra Bahadur Singh, goods were sized from the school bus with a registration number (03-001 Ka 0116) when it was checked by the APF while passing from the main gate of Birgunj Custom after drooping students at the border side of India Raxual. 

DSP Singh said that the seized goods and the bus driver, Kishori Ram, 42 years old, resident of  Parwanipur Rural Municipality - 4, Baraand  42-year-old co-driver Deepak Giri of Sripur, Birgunj Metropolitan City- 12, Parsa was valued at 30 lakhs and handed to the Birgunj Customs Office for necessary action. He said no one came to claim the bus and the seized goods.

A good number of students are studying in the Delhi public school as it conducts an examination of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) of India that is equivalent to the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) in Nepal and teaches both academic sessions.
