Discussions being held to prohibit night bus operation

Kathmandu, July 12: The government has called for a meeting with the concerned authorities concerning the topic of banning the operation of night buses. 

According to the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Home Affairs Narayan Prasad Bhattarai, a discussion about prohibiting the operation of night buses is being held. There is participation of representatives from transport entrepreneurs along with concerned authorities in the discussion being held at Singha Durbar. 

He said, “This subject will see its conclusion following the discussion with concerned authorities. The Home Ministry has not proposed now. After discussion, the subject of whether to present a proposal or not will be concluded.” 

Two passenger buses have gone missing in Trishuli River after the landslide at Simaltar along the Mugling-Narayanghat road section on Friday morning.
