Comedian Kiran KC marks his birthday by honouring artistes

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, June 30: Comedian Kiran KC marked his birthday by honouring artistes, social workers and a journalist on Saturday.

Comedian KC has been marking his birthday every year by inviting artistes and others on Asar 15 for the last 12 years.

Although KC did not say anything about his age at the event, comedian Madan Krishna Shrestha, while expressing his birthday wishes as the chief guest of the event, said that it was KC’s 74th birthday.

A large number of film actors, filmmakers, comedians, singers, musicians and others attended the birthday bash thrown by KC at his hometown in Imadol of Lalitpur.  

Present in the birthday ceremony were senior actors Shiva Shrestha and Mithila Sharma, comedians Jitu Nepal and Surendra KC, musicians Shambhuji Baskota and Tika Bhandari, filmmaker Shovit 

Basnet and others.

Yaman Shretsha and others sang songs while KC, who is also a singer, joined Yaman.

Senior comedian Shrestha handed over the honours and cash prizes to comedian Narendra Kansakar, singer Taiyab Shah, comedians Dhanaram Muskan, Dinesh Kafle and Sita Neupane, actor Raj Kumar Shah, journalist Gita Adhikari and social workers Megh Bahadur Subedi , Shanta KC, Om Bahadur KC and Sudama KC.
