Five South Korean films to be screened at KIMFF today

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, jun,1: Five South Korean films will be screened at the 21st Kathmandu International Mountain Film Festival (KIMFF) on Saturday. 

On the fourth day of the five-day festival, a special screening of Korean films will be held in collaboration with the Ulju Mountain Film Festival to mark the 50th anniversary of the Nepal-South Korea friendship, according to KIMFF president

The five films include Lee Ga-Kyung’s ‘The House of Rising Sun’, Choi Won-Jae’s ‘Chounard B’,  Joo-Yong’s ‘Uncomfortable’,  Kim Hye-Mi’s ‘The Tree’s Home’ and Choi Jinyoung’s ‘The Bone’.

 These films will be screened from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. followed by an interaction with the guest directors from South Korea.

 Limbu said, “Despite the differences in language and culture between Nepal and South Korea, there are many things in common. That similarity can be seen in these films.”

More than 60 films and documentaries from 22 countries, including Nepal, will be screened at the festival, which will last until June 2.
