Eight injured in Kaski bus accident

By Fadindra Adhikari, Lekhnath, May 30: Eight people sustained injuries when a bus heading towards Beni of Myagdi from Kathmandu met with an accident at Lewade, Annapurna Rural Municipality-1, Kaski.

The bus with the registration number Ba 5 Kha 285 overturned at the right side of the road over the road drainage early morning today at 3:45 AM.

Of the total 13 passengers on the bus, eight sustained injury. The 36-year-old bus driver Bal Bahadur Fagami Magar of  Jaljala Rural Municipality -8, Parbat, is receiving treatment at Manipal Teaching Hospital, Pokhara. 

Similarly, 57-year-old Hari KC of Simaha Mangala Rural Municipality -1, and Ranjana Hamal, aged 25, of Myagdi are receiving treatment at Manipal Hospital. 

According to the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) at the District Police Office, Kaski, Basanta Kumar Sharma, 39-year-old Tak Badaur Kamu of Malika, Myagdi, and 45-year-old Prem Pun of  Niskot, Mangala Rurla Municpity-1, Myagdi are receiving treatment at the Gandaki Medical College. Tilak Sharma, aged 57, of Malika-8, and 15-year-old Sabita Sripali of Dargang are taken to Gandaki Medical College. 

Likewise, Bhimsen Adhikari, aged 17, of Darbang is undergoing treatment at Beni Hospital. 

He said that the bus is on the spot and further investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
