By a staff reporter,Kathmandu, May 21: Mithila artist Ranju Yadav's solo art exhibition was held in Finland on Sunday. The one-day painting exhibition was held in Helsinki, the capital of Finland. The exhibition was organised by the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) Finland. This was Yadav’s last art exhibition in the course of her current European Art Tour.

Altogether 40 Mithila arts were displayed in the exhibition. Her paintings highlight the positive sides of Nepali society and culture as well as attack the society’s negative aspects as well.

Artist Yadav went on a 33-day art tour to Europe on April 18 to exhibit her Mithila art in Germany, Denmark and Finland.

Her solo art exhibition was first held in Frankfurt, Germany, on April 20. After that, her paintings were exhibited at the Nepal Embassy in Berlin for a day. Likewise, a two-day solo art exhibition was held in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, on May 11 and 12.

Before that, artist Yadav taught around 50 Nepali and Indian children and their parents to make Mithila paintings in a one-day Mithila Art Workshop organised by NRNA Denmark on May 10.

Yadav, a National Fine Art Award-winning artist, is returning home on Tuesday, after holding her solo Mithila art exhibitions in three European countries.
